Nexense has adapted and developed this unique, revolutionary sensor platform for use as a non-intrusive, wearable computer system, worn as a chest strap or wrist watch, for treating sleep apnea and snoring. Among the investors in the development of this product is General Electric.

These sleep disorders affect tens millions of people worldwide causing very poor quality sleep and consequent daytime fatigue and impaired alertness, as well as long-term damage such as liver disease and diabetes. Problems caused by sleep apnea and snoring include a shortage of oxygen to the brain, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes. An Israeli research from May. 2016 proved that 86% of patients that had strokes suffered from Sleep Apnea. Sleeping disorders also seriously disrupt the sleep of the sufferer’s partners.

Launched in Israel, Nexense’s first-generation product gained 8% of the CPAP market within six months with Google ads. The company stresses direct marketing to patients over the Internet.
